Thank you so much to the church for allowing me to talk about my Savior from the pulpit. It was an honor and privilege to share with you during that time. It gives you a deeper appreciation for our beloved Pastor who does a GREAT job every Sunday for us here at Franklin Presbyterian.
Since our choir will be off for the summer, if anyone knows someone who would like to share in music on a particular Sunday this summer, please point them in the right direction.
A reminder, that VBS is coming up this June 23rd and we will be studying Paul’s dangerous mission into Athens to spread the saving grace message of Jesus Christ. Haley will be passing a signup sheet to the church for assistance with this. A special thank you to Summer who is putting together columns for VBS upstairs.
Even though there is six months until we collect the Christmas boxes for children across the world, I will be seeing what it takes for our church to be a drop off site for Samaritan Purse this November. I envision a good way to advertise our church during this week. More on this later but be in prayer.
Pastor is working on church brochure and tracts for Jesus have been received from Billy Graham (Ann’s Attic). Hope to do this as a youth and adult outreach to our neighborhoods this summer. More information coming.
Special thank you to all who prayed and participated in the “The Porch”. A special time of fellowship and community awareness of Jesus Christ and our church. Even our neighbors participated with us. The chairs and signs will be stored upstairs and this October when it cools down, we will give it another go.
Pray without ceasing for our church and our faith walks.

Helping Others

Rowan Helping Ministries
Our volunteers from Franklin pick up and deliver food on Tuesdays from Food Lion #1 that they donate to Rowan Helping Ministries to help the less fortunate. We continue to request members bring non-perishable goods to put in the box in the vestibule for Rowan Helping Ministries.

A Big “THANK YOU” to our Delivery Volunteers!!!

Battered Women's Shelter
As we continue to help the folks at the Battered Women's Shelter be aware of their need for bed pillows, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, Swiffer sheets (that wrap around), coffee, creamer, sugar, hamburger helper meals, summer clothing.

Any question please see Grace or Bonnie.

Thank you for your help!

I knelt to pray when day was done,
And prayed, O Lord, bless everyone;
Lift from each saddened heart the pain,
And let the sick be well again.”

And then I woke another day
And carelessly I went on my way.
The whole day long I did not try
To wipe a tear from any eye;

I did not try to share the load
Of any brother on my road;
I did not even go to see
The sick man just next door to me.

Yet once again when day was done
I prayed, “O Lord, bless everyone.”
But as I prayed, into my ear
There came a voice that whispered clear:

“Pause, hypocrite, before you pray;
Whom have you tried to bless today?
God’ sweet blessings always go
By hands that serve Him here below.”

And then I hid my face and cried,
“Forgive me, Lord, for I have lied;
Let me but see another day
And I will live the way I pray.””
